No, but the coaching is cheaper if you are a member. The coach will charge slightly more per hour as they have to pass it onto the Club as a 'visitor fee'.
When Is the Club open?
Once you are a member of the Bishopdale you get a key. This gives you use of the lights and gets you in the gate.
How much is it to play on a casual basis?
$10 per person per hour. If you play once a week on average its cheaper to join a Club.
Do I have to make a booking to use a court?
No just come on down. It would be rare if there was not an available court and if there isn't you won't have to wait long.
I want to play tennis but I don’t have a racquet. What can I do?
We have racquets you can buy at the Club. We can do a racquet fitting for you to make sure you get the right one for you.
I want to play interclub but I don't know what grade I am in. How do I best find a team?
The best thing to do is come down to the Club and one of the committee or a coach can watch you play to get a feel for which team you should be in.
I am new to tennis but I would like to learn how to play? Is there a program for me?
Yes, beginner juniors have a program on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons and Saturday morning, Beginner adults have 'Express tennis' on Thursday nights at 7 pm. Feel free to email us to enrol or fill out the contact form.

When are your school holiday programs?
We run school holiday programs in the holidays between term 3 and 4, the week prior to Christmas, the week before school commences back in January and in the holidays between term 1 and 2. So July is the only holidays we don't run a holiday camp. We usually take an overseas tennis trip in July
